Introducing YETI

YETI (Youth Employment Training Initiative)

YETI (Youth Employment Training Initiative) is a fully-owned subsidiary of WPC Group.

After more than 30 years in the industry, we decided that it was time to introduce a fresh approach. We knew that there was a much simpler, convenient, accessible and affordable model just waiting to be designed to advocate and promote employment opportunities for youth, and so YETI was born.

Industry Focus

YETI is an industry leader in placing individuals into traineeships and apprenticeships within Local, State and Federal Governments, not-for-profit, community organisations and the health services sector.  We make it easy for you to engage and recruit career driven and motivated young talent, and support you with experienced mentoring aimed at increasing retention to meet your current and future staffing needs.

Our Team

Evan Henry  |  Corporate Manager and Career Coach

Evan is a proven product of the traineeship program.

Commencing his professional career in a traineeship at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne, he was able to develop skills, knowledge and experience as a key member of the human resources team, that supported two five star hotels and approximately 900 employees.

He contributes this experience as an important time in his career and personal development. Evan comments:

“To be exposed to a large workforce made up of different values, cultures, conditions and expectations was eye-opening. The traineeship experience offered me the opportunity to commence my career with no experience. I brought a positive and can-do attitude and learnt by doing. Being in full-time employment also gave me direction, purpose and a goal to continually improve. I am grateful to those who gave me my career opportunity”.

Evan takes great pride in being able to provide guidance, support and career opportunities to those undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship and in addition, assisting organisations meet and exceed their employment needs.
